Rens van Laarhoven

My name is Rens van Laarhoven, and I work as a photographer at E&R Classics. From shooting in our photostudio to capturing cars in outdoor settings, every shoot is a pleasure. I enjoy working at E&R Classics because of the extraordinary variety of cars I get to photograph. Since joining the company, I’ve greatly deepened my knowledge and appreciation of classic automobiles.

What Is Your Best Car-Related Memory??
Not long ago, I went to the Zandvoort Circuit and drove a Porsche 911 with my dad. It was such an adrenaline rush, it really sparked my love for the 911 and racing in general. That day we did all kinds of activities like drag racing against each other, karting, driving simulators, skid control training and more. But what truly excited me was driving the Porsche 911 on the circuit.

Suppose you could give someone a ride. Who would it be and why?
I’d love to take the artist KAYTRANADA for a ride. He inspired my passion for producing and mixing music. I’d love to talk with him about how he approaches making music and how he managed to create his own unique blend of hip-hop, house, and R&B.

What makes a workday at E&R Classics so enjoyable for you?
For me, it’s the people I work with. We always have a good laugh together, share stories, and maintain a great atmosphere. That’s what makes every day at E&R Classics so enjoyable. Photographing these classic cars is both inspiring and challenging — capturing their character, curves, and reflections requires precision, creativity, and patience, but the results are always worth it.
